Course Overview
Communications 11 is intended to help students become fully skilled language users, capable of comprehending and responding to the multiple forms and functions of language that surround them.This is a goal Communications 11 shares with the other English curricula at these grade levels.
Journal - 10% of course grade. Journal will be marked as a whole for content, length, improvement and depth.
Class Contribution / Participation - 20% of course mark. Students will be given a mark out of 10 based on the frequency and quality of their involvement with the class as a whole.
In-Class Assignments - 30% of course mark.
Tests - 20% of course mark. We will have a variety of different forms of tests. All of those scores will count towards this total.
Final Exam - 20% of course mark.
